Guide to the installation of apk By Androbook!

This guide is aimed at beginners who often ask me how to install an apk file, this post is directed to them.
As most of you know very well on Android there are two major ways to install applications through the play store (ex android market) and through the direct installation of the executable (the windows for instance) technically called sideloading.
Technically there would also be a third way using adb but this really is not much used.

Focusing on the second road which is at the center of this guide to do just follow the simple steps that can be carried out either directly on the android device or in tandem with a PC.

Directly from your phone, tablet, smartwatch (in the future maybe even  toaster) Android

- Pick the apk of the apk file (which is the executable).
- If you have problem downloading apk, please consider download from the play store an alternative browser such as classic opera, or firefox browser that compared to the stock Android are less picky. With one of those you should no longer have problems downloading all the apk you want.
- During the download or even after it has completed go into settings if you have Android 2.x (Enclair, froyo, gingerbread)or go to applications, if you have Android 4.x (ics, jb, kk) in safety and then  tap on "unknown sources", a message will popup click on ok. This step must be performed only the first time and enables you to install the apk file that is not signed.
- As soon as the download is complete you will see the notification, if you tap on it and you will see the installation screen and at the end do a tap on install.
- When the installation ends you can choose whether to open or close .
In short, nothing prohibitive.

via pc

- You can download the apk you need even through pc and then pass it via usb or wifi to your terminal .
- So take the apk file and load it on your android device (maybe in a new folder easy to reach and recall, such as the download folder).
- Then unplug the cable connect to play store and download a file manager (ex. manager files)
- Now open the selected file manager and find where you put the apk and select it.
- At the end you can choose whether to open or close the application when the installation process is complete.
In short, nothing prohibitive.

Attention to errors sometimes occur during installation.

The most common are two:
- The package manager android tells you "application not installed", in this case, download the APK probably was not performed properly.
- The package manager will warn you that it was not possible to complete the installation because there is already a package with a signature in contrast, in this case, you simply need to uninstall any other version of the same application from your device and retry the installation.

In each case, however, your terminal will remain under warranty.
